Honoured in Procreate Global Art Prize 2016

Ant Fox

Procreate is leading the way with its innovative technologies was one of the first companies to receive recognition in this new field from other leading manufacturers such as Apple.

As such, the creation of digital art used to be restricted to all but a few programmes, that market is expanding rapidly alongside the technology and mediums available to artists.

We are very pleased indeed to receive an honourable mention in this year's Global Art Prize amongst a strong field of entries.

We look forward to continue working with products like Procreate that allow us creatives to keep expanding those horizons.

Christmas 2016 - ANTFOX cards @ Boots.com

Ant Fox

For those that know me, Christmas isn't my favourite, a tad grumpy around the edges might an underestimation. However, this year its been a pleasure to see work transformed into cards for Boots the Chemist .

Part of the 'Duo Village Scene Boxed Cards' @ Boots.com

No scene would be complete without Malibu in the window.

And yes, mum I've already ordered you a box with extra envelopes!

Introducing John Hancock to ANTFOX gallery

Ant Fox

We are delighted to announce that we will be working with John Hancock as a feature artist on the ANTFOX.com gallery website featuring his stunning work in oils.

John originally from Devon, moved to Brighton to attend art college and for many years worked as a freelance illustrator, painting figurative watercolours for book covers and for fiction in magazines.

We have small collection of John's original pieces in oil circa 2009, representing the best of the early years. John himself would describe these as impressionistic, with a lot of individual "daubs" of thick paint.

Here at the ANTFOX gallery we have been lucky enough to be custodians of some of these great pieces for a couple of years, we look forward to sharing them with you.

PRIDE, Brighton - August 2016

As our city gears up for the annual party of the year, we'll add our contribution into the multi-coloured pot that makes us all unique.

Only just added to our own website, by accident rather than design we hope you'll enjoy Ludwid Vamp Beethoven. As part of the Vintage Satire range, we hope you'll enjoy his subtleties as much as I did painting him.

A New Logo For Sherwood's Sherbet

Ant Fox

A pinnacle moment? Well I'm smilling!

My local public house, has introduced its own beer and after several rounds of discussions the name 'Sherwood's Sherbet' was settled on.

Pulling a Sherwood's!

Pulling a Sherwood's!

After a couple of pints of a lesser know and far inferior beverage, I created the house beer logo for the tap handle and the beer mats. What do you think?

Dont worry I won't be serving it just enjoying the odd pint or two.... Did I mention it's only £3 a pint?

20 years of paddle round the pier

Brighton's unique and probably the world's biggest free charity beach and water sports festival is celebrating its 20th year next weekend. In support and a bit of fun, we've created a lifeguard gul to oversee the fun....

I wasn't aware of some of the stats around this event; it has averaged around 50K visitors each weekend over the last 3 years. It's a charity event raising over £250,000 with all its profits go to 3 worthwhile causes: Surfers Against Sewage, Amaze, and RNLI. Run by a team of volunteers, lead by David Samuels, this festival has been an established part of Brighton's summer.

We'll be there in support and wish you superb weather for 2&3rd July!

ANTFOX Gallery Honours The Brighton Legend Disco Pete

Ant Fox

Residents and visitors to Brighton and Hove music events and gigs will know a sprightly elderly fellow in a fiery shirt, baseball cap and sunglasses dancing at the front, facing the crowd.

However, following a health scare a few weeks ago and advice from his doctors for the white-gloved octogenarian, fans, including us here at the ANTFOX Gallery were concerned that his unique presence might be missing from the upcoming Brighton Festivals starting this month.

But fear not, We are pleased to say that even though he was in a wheel chair, Pete was enjoying the sights and sounds at the Robin Hood Pub Street Party this weekend.

We met the Raving Legend there to present him with a painting of himself, a thank you for the smiles and spirit lifting dance moves that he has been sharing with us for decades.

His unique dance moves almost look as if he is conducting the audience, he swipes and pats the air with his white gloves, grinning all the while. Disco Pete will dance to anything - hip hop, reggae, Irish jig, electronic, acoustic, swing, brass band, classical - you name it. Pete has been regularly making an appearance at annual events around Sussex. He stays for the entire duration and he doesn't touch a drop of booze, it isn't false highs that keep him going, it is pure beats.

This white-gloved octogenarian. Pete Turner has been clubbing since the ’60s  saying: "Things have changed a lot since then, especially the music.

 "I love music. I love
dancing. The more hardcore the
better. I’m a bit like a Pringle – once
I bop, I just can’t stop."

Its been a busy month, the Girl with a Pearl Bubble has been on her travels.

We may not have been able to afford to have her travel first class but she certainly attracted a bit of attention as she made her way up to the French Bedroom HQ
